Weekly Club training sessions will be offered on Thursdays for athletes aged 12+ at King George Oval, Manning street Rozelle. Timing is listed below. Thursday training sessions will commence on Thursday 12 October 2023.
Athletes commence warm up at 6pm, individually or in groups, while the preceding training session is finishing then choose an event to concentrate on during the coaching session from 6.30-7.30pm. To determine interest, please complete the short expression of interest form here.
Any changes to training, including the availability of coaches will be posted on Club socials.
Cath Chatterton - Middle Distance
Cath is an Australian Masters Triathlon team member who has been very successful on the road winning the Canberra Half Marathon. As a keen runner she understands how to build a young middle distance runner.
Michel Hemmings Jones - Throws
Olympian representing Cuba at the 2000 Sydney games for Discus with an interest and expertise in all the throwing events.
Mel Murphy - Racewalking
Over the last five years Mel has coached junior athletes to State titles and National medals in both track walking and road walking events.
Richard Chen - Conditioning and Fitness, Throws & Jumps
With knowledge and experience in coaching across all events, Richard has a passion for skill development and encouraging all athletes. He has expertise in conditioning and fitness, jumps, relays, sprints and throws. Richard is the Club's Coaching Coordinator and takes a special interest in overseeing the development of our junior coaching team.
